Warehouse Manager
Monday – Friday 42 hrs – days
Salary – CompetitiveWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join a growing team. The main purpose of the role is to work alongside the other Warehouse Manager to provide effective and efficient running of the Warehouses by management of daily, weekly and monthly activities, providing leadership to the warehouse teams.

Key Duties:
– To engage with shift supervisors to ensure the efficient and effective allocation of tasks to team members and ensure that productivity is maximised
– Develop supervisors and delegate effectively and efficiently
– Delivery of a safe, secure, clean and fair workplace for team members
– Ensure compliance of standard operating procedures and legal requirements
– Responsible for the health, safety and environment of the transit terminal including routine H&S inspections on equipment and environment
– Maximise accuracy, productivity and space utilisation
– Maintain quality standards and customer service
– Minimise damages and ensure root cause analysis and improvements
– Translate, analyse and deliver customer requirements through effective operations
– Ensure the daily/weekly/monthly workforce planning and forecasting (people, equipment, space) to maximise efficiency
– Deliver team member performance reviews and development in line with company policy and procedure
– Ensure housekeeping tasks are allocated efficiently to maximise performance
– Ensure that all reporting procedures are complied with
– Ensuring that vehicles are unloaded and loaded on time to maximise operational performance
– Undertake check measurements where required in line with company/customer requirements
– To produce, analyse and manage identified Key Performance Indicators for the Inbound and Outbound activity and ensure that targets are met
– Proactively manage the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations ensuring that activity is optimised with the needs of other departments in the business

The Candidate:
– Be naturally driven by continuous improvement
– Focus on quality of service and place customers at the heart of all activity
– The ability to maintain a commercial focus while matching customer requirements and network rules to the overall business requirements is essential
– Experience in a warehouse operation for a minimum of 2 years
– Previous experience in managing a team, a hands on approach preferred
– Experience of computerised warehouse systems
