Salary: £17,152 – £19,374 per annum (£8.74 – £9.92 per hour) plus enhancements
Hours: Full time (37 per week) and part time (16 per week) available

They have vacancies available in Northampton! Lyttleton Road is a supported living service for those who have learning difficulties, autism conditions, brain injury conditions or display behaviours of concern.
They are recruiting for motivated, enthusiastic and positive thinking Support Workers to join the team. You need to be able to demonstrate an understanding towards individuals who are experiencing great changes in their lives and who can sometimes present with behaviours that are challenging.
Are you brilliant at budgeting? A pro at paperwork? A star at writing support plans?
These are important skills that will not only ensure the residents are receiving the highest standard of support at all times, but will also mean the registered supported living service fulfils CQC requirements.
You’ll need to use your observational and organisational skills to write detailed support plans for residents to ensure they are receiving the support they need, and to promote and support their recovery. Liaising with external agencies and a multi-disciplinary team of professionals will become second nature, ensuring that our residents receive the best support possible from all areas.
Schedules and plans are often part of the process to enable residents to see exactly what they’ll be doing each day, enabling and encouraging independence and providing them with opportunities, you’ll gain a real sense of job satisfaction seeing the residents you support blossom, and develop their skills for life.
They are fully committed to working with people with learning disabilities to increase their independence and inclusion and to support people to maximise control over their lives. You will provide physical and emotional support and health care of the highest standard, ensuring that respect, dignity and confidentiality is maintained at all times.
They will provide you with free mandatory and also specialist training but experience working with adults who can display some level of challenging behaviour both verbal and physical is required. You need to be willing to learn and undertake the relevant training requirements which will equip you with the skills you need to be successful in the role.
Their support doesn’t stop – so you will be required to work on a shift basis over a 24 hour period including weekends, bank holidays. A bonus is paid for waking nights and double time paid for Christmas and New Year shifts.
