Role: Senior/ Principal Java Software Development Engineer
Location; Nottingham city centre (2 days/ week remote after Covid)
If you love Java development, but are a bit bored of doing smaller scale or seemingly useless apps at the whim of a client, then read on- I think you’re going to like this one!
If you want to build enterprise-scale apps that are used by millions of people all over the world, and help people in their daily lives, then this is the role for you.
Just read that sentence again. Enterprise-scale apps that help millions of people. That could be you. That’s exciting, no doubt about it.
You’ll also get to work alongside some of the brightest and best minds the country has to offer (because yes, people travel for these guys, they're that good), but you won’t be in the office just yet.
They use some of the best tech and practices around; Java, AWS, CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, SpringBoot, SOLID, TDD (it’s like a religion here!), etc.
They are genuinely lovely people, too – yay!
In return they're offering a really competitive salary (with a really, REALLY great bonus on top for their top performing Java Developers). But the benefits only start there – they have one of the best pension schemes I've ever come across, they pay for lots of training and even have a subsidised canteen (run by an ex MICHELIN STAR CHEF!!).
But what about career progression? Well.. what they offer is pretty special. There are different paths you could go down depending on the type of superstar dev you are: want to go into architecture, ace – do it. Managerial – Brilliant. You want to move sideways? Go for it.
And if you're worried about transport – they couldn't be any closer to Nottingham train station if they tried!! That means you could get the train OR the tram – excellent.
So if you are a frustrated Senior / Lead Java Developer with Java & AWS experience, looking for something great, and are even just a little bit interested I'd really love to have a chat with you. Just click apply, send your CV over and we can arrange a time to speak
