A provision based in the city of Nottingham are looking to appoint a number of Teaching Assistants for immediate starts to support students with Autism access education, reduce anxieties associated with working a class environment and adapt learning resources to support engagement.
A key element of this role will be showing empathy, understanding and perseverance to support vulnerable students overcomes challenges in their educational journey.
The positions are ideal for people that have worked with SEN students previously and those who may display behavioral challenges – you'll have a natural ability to create and build rapport with young people. You will be a resilient individual who is calm under pressure whilst also being able to display empathy for those in your care.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year experience in education either paid or as a volunteer supporting vulnerable and hard to reach students. (evidenced by CV)
Have a current (or be willing to obtain) an up to date safeguarding certificate in line with statutory regulations (KCSIE)
Be able to provide two reference from previous employment (1 of which must be most recent)
Team Teach/MAPPA/ NAPPI training would be advantageous but not essential
Educated to Degree level – (Psychology, SEN, Education Studies, Sociology desirable but not essential)
Dependant on prior experience the roles will pay between £15,000 – £16,000 per annum
