Job Description

ABC Teachers, part of TES, are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in an SEN school near Derby on a flexible basis following half-term.

About the role:

Providing support to students with a range of complex educational needs, including ASD, SLD, PMLD and challenging behaviour.
Supporting small class sizes students aged from 4 – 19.
Assisting the class teacher with learning support and cooperating with other members within the school.
Working on a flexible basis starting after half-term.

The school caters for primary and secondary aged students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, including ASD, SLD, PMLD and challenging behaviour.
Easily accessible from Derby, Burton upon Trent and surrounding areas of Derbyshire.
A well-established school with a wide range of facilities and additional supports.
Supportive leadership, where the needs of the child always come first.
About you:

Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly built rapport with students.
Suitable qualifications to support students with SEND are desirable.
Have previous experience working with children and young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities.
Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
