Your new company
You will be working for an independent organization which offers specialist residential schooling and children's homes across England. They are focused on supporting children with SEMH challenges and certain learning disabilities. Alongside education, they provide therapeutic and holistic approaches to ensure the complete needs of each and every young person are met. This organization is currently looking to recruit residential support workers on a temporary to permanent basis – both days and nights positions available.
Your new role
As a Residential Support Worker you will be required to provide high quality care and support which meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and cultural needs of the Children and Young People. Through providing a caring, supportive and nurturing environment, establishing positive relationships and ensuring that each young person's care plan is followed and amended to reflect their changing needs you will play a key role in their development and wellbeing.
What you'll need to succeed
It essential you have a minimum of one years' experience supporting children and young people within a residential setting or a similar role. Ideally you will hold a Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent qualification, however this is not essential. Furthermore, you will ideally be an enthusiastic, committed and resilient individual who wants to make a difference by working as part of a team to support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes.
