We have an INCREDIBLE opportunity for Children’s Residential Support Workers to join a FANTASTIC Children’s Residential Service in Langford, supporting young people with Learning Disabilities, Autism and challenging behaviours.
**Due to the nature of the job and the activities involved, we are only able to consider applicants who have a full drivers licence and a car**
Salary: Day shift £20,304.40
Night shift £19,873.55
Location: Langford, Nr Newark (NG23)
Hours: Full time
As a Support Worker, you will be key in helping young people with complex needs. A Support Worker is a challenging role, but the rewards are incomparable to any other job. About the Role
Working with all levels of the Staff Team to safeguard our young people at all time.
Participating in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational events held within the home and wider community.
Assisting with practical matters relating to care (cooking, cleaning etc.)
Creating positive relationships with the young people and offering them unconditional dignity and respect.
Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural needs of the young people.
Continually maintaining accurate and clear record keeping.
Ensuring that the needs of the young person are being met and reviewing and recording changes to those needs.
Actively contributing to the development of the team.Requirements
Diploma Level 3 in Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent) or a willingness to complete this qualification within a fixed timeframe.
A genuine passion for care and to be motivated by contributing to the progression of others.
A strong team player.
Resilience to keep going at difficult times and to ask for support if needed.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
