Purpose of the role
As a Production Operative you will have the ability to understand and adhere to food hygiene procedures. Comply with company policies and procedures and be able to follow instructions as directed by Section Manager or other members of the management team. You will adhere to health and safety at all times and follow all task in line with food safety rules.

Depending on your department, the key responsibilities will include: 

Ensuring all birds are correctly placed on the production line whilst observing strict bird welfare requirements
Wearing the required and correct PPE at all times
Cleaning equipment and modules on a rotation schedule
Lifting in the region of 2kg per bird on a repetitive basis
Sorting of chicken by-products
Temperature checking of chicken by- products
Trussing chickens ready for film wrapping
Supplying the line with raw material
Grading quality of chickens
Loading of trailers
Monitoring the water plant and FDS plantWhat we are looking for:

Functional skills in English and Maths
The ability to work well within a team and communicate with all levels of staff
Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
Experience within a production/manufacturing setting showing an understanding of a fast moving process is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided Working hours on day shift are Monday – Friday start times of between 06:15-06:45 finishing at 18:00 (4 out of 5 days)

Working hours on twilight are Sunday – Thursday 18:00 – 03:00 (please note that some departments will work 15:40-02:30 on Sunday only)
