Mechanical Project Engineer
– Heating / plumbing knowledge essential (Renewables sector)
– £37k – £40k & additional benefits
With the world returning to "normal", we are seeing recruitment really ramp up across engineering as a sector. However, we sometimes get a really niche and outstanding opportunity that stands out from the rest and I think it's fair to say this is one of them…
On that basis, we are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer in a newly created role for a company that are looking to significantly increase in size in the coming months to keep up with the astonishing demand for their service and product. A company that has come through COVID in a very strong position.
Due to the technology within renewables we work with, we know that we will have invest a lot of time and effort in to the training of the person but we are more than happy to do that as long as we have a sharp professional who wants to really forge a career and learn.
In reality, we can look at a range of current job titles such as Mechanical Project Engineer, Senior Mechanical Engineer, Project Manager, and Energy Engineer to give you an idea.
This will be a hugely varied role, so let's run through that side. As a company, we design, install and commission renewable systems for commercial and industrial applications, with focus on biomass and heat pumps, with some projects being of very high value.
You will be managing multiple projects from start to finish, working with the end client to make sure they get the result they want with the correct technology across the UK.
You will have a small team of service technicians underneath you as well (about 3 or 4) so whilst the roles isn't hands on, knowing the engineering behind it is pretty important but we can teach you the bits you may not know.
We are open to the person for this. Essentially, we want a sharp senior mechanical engineer who is either fed up with being on the tools or a project engineer who wants to come in to a company where there is unparalleled potential.
We need someone who has good knowledge of combustion & heating from a mechanical sense – any biomass would be brilliant – but someone who actually wants to learn some really sharp new technology within renewables, who understands this as the opportunity is and have exceptional training that will only benefit yourself as an engineer.
This is a company that has come through COVID in exceptional shape and is looking to expand again even further with the sharpest technology there is in their sector. A company who understand that they need to train and invest in their people to keep their standards high from some of the most established minds in the business.
If this seems like a role that would be of interest, simply hit apply and get your CV through to me. Look forward to hearing your story
