The fully automated site which has been standing in the heart of the community for 13 years, are on track to have their best year to date, targeting to produce 105 million units by the end of 2021. These goods are some of UKs most recognisable brands of which have become a staple part of the British construction market. They are now looking for a maintenance engineer of electrical bias to join their team
About the role
As a maintenance engineer you will be responsible for completing ppm, reacting to breakdowns and completing remedial repair work in a busy manufacturing environment. This would be on automated plant machinery, including 3 phase equipment (415v), conveyors, robotics, packaging lines, palletisers, mixing equipment, plus more. You will be responsible for electrical fault finding on automated machinery, this would be through various methods, including through siemens PLC, which the company can help you develop on.
The company are working towards making the site more efficient so are adopting LEAN manufacturing processes on site, therefor you will be involved project work and making production improvements.
As a maintenance engineer, you should have experience working within an automated environment ideally from within manufacturing. You should possess a strong level of electrical knowledge and be comfortable with fault finding on an array of automated equipment.
You should hold a recognised level 3 (or above) electrical qualification city and guilds, NVQ, BTEC, HND, HNC.
Be comfortable working in an industrial environment
Be happy to work on a days and night’s rotation
