Job Description

Title: Interim Accountant
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000
Location: Grimsby

OVERVIEW:
This is a part qualified/newly qualified accountant opportunity in Grimsby to provide maternity leave cover for a period of approximately 9-12 months starting in January 2021. Candidates will ideally have a manufacturing background and be studying or qualified CIMA/ACCA however qualified by experience candidates will also be considered with the relevant skills and experience.

THE ROLE:
Reporting into the Financial Controller the successful candidate will perform duties akin to those of a Company Accountant including month end procedures, P & L, reporting, investigate variances and stock. There will be a variety of ad hoc projects as and when required so versatile skills are important.
-Although this is a full time position there is a degree of flexibility on start and leave times.

THE CANDIDATE:
-Preferably CIMA/ACCA part qualified or newly qualified you need to have availability for January 2021 start and be able to commit to the duration of the contract which is thought to be 9 – 12 months
-You need to have strong IT skills particularly with Excel and ideally a manufacturing or FMCG background
-Qualified by Experience accountants are also welcome to apply with the relevant skills and experience

Based in Grimsby the company has easy access to the A180 and onwards to the Humber Bridge, M180 and local North Lincolnshire areas. My client operates in the food sector and has a fast paced working environment.

THE BENEFITS:
Salary is negotiable, ideally c£30,000 but dependent upon background, experience and level of qualification.
