Summary of role
To lead the successful operational implementation of new propositions, business models or programmes of work that deliver to time and budget with an effortless experience for all stakeholders. To ensure a smooth transition from implementation into operational business as usual delivery. To align with the vision for our purpose, vision, mission and customer promise and the new ways of working as defined by the Babington transformation programme.
Brief summary of principle accountabilities
To set the vision and direction for the successful operational implementation of complex programmes of work, new propositions, acquisitions, or new growth programmes
To set up the programme of work that delivers to exceptional project management principles working in an agile and flexible way and aligned to the business processes and templates.
To lead and support the Head of Programmes and wider team, responsible for the design, development, and implementation of a governance framework along with development of new business processes and templates.
Set up clear project vision, direction, timelines, stakeholders, roles, and responsibilities in line with approved methodology and deliver the project in line with timeframes and costs agreed with the SEB.
To report on the progress of overall transformation and change programmes and the planned/successful implementation at regular intervals to the Chief Operating Officer and the Strategic Executive Board
Implement and manage new projects, programmes, systems, and all change projects in the business.
Drive new and innovative ways of working throughout the business, challenging existing processes to drive improvement, and encouraging sharing of best practice.
Support uptake and development of people across the business to utilise and maximise the benefits of the new systems, programmes, and processes.
Implement new customer programmes and projects into the Operations side of the business with support from Customer Engagement.
Ensure the Quality of provision and everything we do, not only reaches the expectations of the relevant auditing/regulation bodies but exceeds these.
Set up the appropriate commercial models to deliver new programmes that ensure commercial viability and cost containment.

Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent (E)
Skills and experience
Experience of setting the vision and direction for new programmes of work
Experience of utilisation of Apprenticeships/Government funded training
Experience of building creative and innovative ways to deliver programmes
Experience of delivering high quality learning solutions (E)
Experience of successfully achieving deadlines and working without close supervision
Experience of creating highly effective internal and external stakeholder relationships
Experience of leading projects including stakeholder management and the successful reporting measurement of programme KPIS
Knowledge of Customer experience science and leading-edge market information
Ability to work within a target driven environment (E)
