Job Description

Zachary Daniels Recruitment are recruiting for a Head of Learning & Development. The role is based in Nottinghamshire working for a retail business with a fantastic high street and on-line presence. You will be responsible for a small team who will deliver Learning and Development activities together with promoting on going career development programmes.

If you are currently working for a retail or service related business and have a track record of managing a team and delivering L&D activities to both Head Office, Stores and Distribution. This role will require you to have both a 'hands on' approach and strategic involvement.

We are looking for someone who has a can do approach, thrives on utilising their technical skills and working and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

You will:

Own and manage the L&D team to promote learning within all levels of the Group
Develop the L&D strategy to contribute to the HR agenda
Leading a small team of L&D professionals to develop their skills and experience
Drive the performance development, succession planning, early careers and apprenticeship programmes
Own and manage the budget for the function
Provide innovative and new learning solutions to reflect the challenges ahead

The salary on offer is a base of £70-85K plus benefits.

Lead and manage the Group Learning and Development team to promote learning within all levels of the Group

Develop and drive the overall L&D strategy and contribute to the wider People Strategy and Agenda as a member of the People Senior Leadership team
Accountable for the delivery of our "L&D Plan" in line with the Group's core values and behaviours and aligned to the wider HR people strategy.
Identify learning needs of staff, clients and partners and develop the learning solutions, listing to the needs of the business and ensuring L&D are both proactive and responsive as required
Set up and embed all stages of the training life cycle
Plan and implement suitable learning processes and platforms across the Group
Managing the training budget
Designing and implementing blended learning solutions to maximise access to and consumption of development content.
Contributing to long term goals around business and people development, includingPerformance and development planning, succession planning, early careers and apprenticeship programmes
